A question before you come? Message us on WhatsApp or through our contact form: we reply within 48 hours.
Your child doesn't speak French yet? They'll learn it at school.
A specialist teacher works with them in a small group, first in French as a Foreign Language (FLE), then in French as a Language of Schooling (FLSCO), until they can follow lessons in class on their own.
Their level is assessed as soon as school starts, and their track is adjusted throughout the year with their class teacher.

The questions parents ask us before they visit
Is the school recognized by the French Ministry of National Education?
Yes. The school is accredited from First Year (kindergarten) to Grade 5 and follows the French national curriculum: your child can continue their schooling in France or at any French school in the world without losing a year. After Grade 5, our pupils move up to Grade 6 at Marguerite Duras French International High School, our partner school, with no entrance test (only its international section requires one).
How much does a year at Boule & Billes cost?
In 2026-2027, from 115 to 149 million VND a year for the nursery, depending on the option, and from 190 to 210 million VND for kindergarten and elementary school, depending on nationality. On top of that come the canteen, the registration fee (once per family) and the annual administrative fee. 10% discount from the second child onward.
How many children are there in each class?
No more than 23 per class, in both kindergarten and elementary school. English and Vietnamese are taught in smaller groups, by level.
How many adults are there in each class?
In kindergarten, two: a qualified teacher and a Vietnamese French-Speaking Assistant who holds a diploma in early childhood education or education. In elementary school, the class teacher, joined by the English and Vietnamese teachers for language groups.
Does my child need to be potty trained to start kindergarten?
No, it isn't an admission requirement: every child develops at their own pace. Potty training and independence are also part of First Year, where the teacher and their assistant support your child, working hand in hand with you. If your child isn't potty trained yet at the start of the school year, just let them both know in the first few days.
Does my child need to take a test to get in?
First, we ask for the complete school records from your child's current school. Depending on the class level you're applying for, a placement test may be arranged: it's free of charge.
Can my child join during the school year?
Yes, depending on available vacancies in their class. Tuition fees are then calculated on a pro-rata basis for the year.
Which campus is right for my child?
The nursery is in Thảo Điền. Kindergarten is on both campuses, and elementary school, from Grade 1 to Grade 5, is in Bình Thạnh. The two sites are five minutes apart, and the school bus can pick your child up at home.
What are the school hours?
Classes run from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m., and until 11:35 a.m. on Wednesdays. The school opens at 7:30 a.m., and children can stay until 4:30 p.m. with after school activities.
The French school calendar has a lot of holidays: who will look after my child?
During the school holidays, our Holiday Camp welcomes children, both our own pupils and those from other schools.
We're not in Ho Chi Minh City yet. What should we do?
The visit can take place by video call, and the enrollment file can be prepared remotely, before you arrive.
What happens during the visit?
You book the time slot that suits you online. At the school, you see the classrooms and how the day is organized, one-on-one with the team, and ask all your questions. Bring your child if you can: it isn't required, but we recommend it.
