School calendar

What to remember for the school calendar:

• Boule et Billes follows the rules of the French school calendar and more particularly Zone A. More details on the official Public Service link.
• The start of the school year generally falls during the first week of September.
• The school year ends the last week of June.
• Meanwhile, classes and other extracurricular activities take place from Monday to Friday. There are no classes on Saturdays
• School holidays are:
  • All Saints' Day holidays (two weeks, from the end of October to the beginning of November)
  • Christmas holidays (two weeks, from the end of December to the beginning of January)
  • Winter holidays (two weeks. Dates change depending on the year: between February and March)
  • Spring break (two weeks. Dates change depending on the year: between April and May)
  • Summer vacation (two months, July and August)
• During school holidays, the school opens the activity center on working days to all children, not just those registered with Boule et Billes.
• The school also follows local public holidays in connection with article 112 of the Vietnamese labor code. This adds, therefore, the following holidays:
  • ≈ one week for “Tết Âm lịch” or lunar new year in January, February or March.
  • 1 day for the commemoration of the Hung Vuong kings (Ngày Giỗ Tổ Hùng Vương) which falls between March and April.
  • 1 day on April 30 which is the day of reunification (Ngày Chiến thắng)
  • 1 day on May 1st; international labor day
  • 2 days for September 2 for Independence Day (Quốc khánh)
