Over the next three years, children will acquire knowledge and skills appropriate for their age. Kindergarten plays a vital role in preparing children for the first grade (CP), helping them enter the learning process with confidence and success. This is why it\u2019s important to enroll your child as early as possible.<\/p>\n<h3>French Primary School (Ages 6 to 11)<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>CP (Grade 1)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>CE1 (Grade 2)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>CE2 (Grade 3)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>CM1 (Grade 4)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>CM2 (Grade 5)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All learning is conducted in French. Your child will learn to speak, read, write, and count in French. Students are taught in a dedicated FLE classroom by a FLE teacher.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Externalized Learning:<\/strong> Students are grouped together in a specific classroom to work on targeted skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bouleetbilles.net\/activites-extra-scolaires\/#dt-tabs|1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">French \"Fun\" Classes<\/a> (Extra-Curricular Activity):<\/strong> A teacher organizes small groups to work on language skills and comprehension in a relaxed setting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to these formal programs, each teacher provides differentiated education, adapting their teaching methods to the needs of the students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PPRE (Pedagogical Project for Educational Success)<\/strong> may be established with a language component. This will be discussed with you during a meeting with the teacher and director. The project will outline your child\u2019s needs and the support required to help them progress. It may also include recommendations for support outside of school.<\/p>\n<p><strong>APC (Complementary Pedagogical Activities):<\/strong> These are free activities during class time where the teacher works with small groups to revisit specific concepts that have not been fully mastered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>School Reports:<\/strong> At the end of each term, you will receive a report outlining your child\u2019s progress. For kindergarten, this is provided twice a year.<\/p>\n<h3>How Can You Support Your Child?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Show interest in your child\u2019s schooling by asking them daily about their school day\u2014what they did, who they played with, what they ate, etc. It\u2019s important to validate their school life and share these experiences with the family.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage exposure to the French language through various activities: play with French-speaking friends, engage in sports in French, watch French cartoons, listen to French podcasts, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Regularly take your child to the IDECAF library.<\/li>\n<li>Stay engaged with your child\u2019s progress by consulting the liaison book, homework assignments, and the Padlet created by the teacher. Also, ensure the school materials are well maintained.<\/li>\n<li>Homework: Your child will need to do homework regularly.
