The student leaves the classroom to study French language only with a FLE teacher. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Out-of-classroom learning:<\/strong> students are grouped together in a speci\ufb01c classroom to work on targeted skills.<\/p>\n<h4>FLSCO = French as a Language of Schooling.<\/h4>\n<p>It is an academic use of the language that articulates oral and written in all school subjects. The French language is both an academic subject and a tool for learning other subjects. French is not approached from the perspective of purely linguistic learning, but as a common tool for acquiring knowledge in other school subjects, covering concepts, notions and methods. The sessions are renewed if necessary after consultation at the end of each period. <\/p>\n<p>After a trimester of intensive supervision, students who have acquired autonomy may no longer profit from the program. This will depend on close consultation between the FLE\/FLSCO teacher and the class teacher \u2013 report in December 2023. <\/p>\n<h2>1) Our commitments<\/h2>\n<h4>Role of the FLE\/FLSCO teacher<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">To promote the integration of neo-French-speaking students into their reference class by equipping them with both FLE and FLSCO skills;<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Work closely with the class teacher to understand the weekly objectives;<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Develop sessions that integrate both the expectations of the CEFR and the French national education programs;<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Participate in student follow-up and evaluation;<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Di\ufb00erentiate activities based on student level;<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Communicate with parents on student progress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Role of the school teacher<\/h4>\n<p>The school teacher is the main teacher of the class in which the neo-French-speaking students are enrolled. He\/she is responsible for these students in their entirety and has the mission to include them in the teaching of all subjects, without exception. The FLE\/FLSCO teacher is present for these students for a limited period of time, the objective being their autonomy in the reference class. In the learning times when the neo-French-speaking students are present, he di\ufb00erentiates the activities in order to allow the students to work on the same skill as the others.   <\/p>\n<h4>Role of the parents<\/h4>\n<p>Parents who enroll their child in French International School Boule & Billes must be informed of the French language program that will be suggested to their child. They agree to accompany and support their child in learning French and to follow the advice and recommendations given by the educational team, by signing a letter of commitment.
